Review of BAFTA nominated ‘Winner Takes All’
‘One of the Best films I've seen’
Author: Louise Taylor Film critic ‘Metro’, 6th April 2006
“I saw this at the Great Lakes Film Festival and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to see it again. Funny, witty and Chico looks gorgeous! It’s so different because of the narrative aspect of the story. The story is entertaining and with a strong cast. The Stranger (JC Mac) is gorgeous and I thought outstanding, I'm envious of the Lovely Lady who gets to kiss him but have to say JC Mac and Lauretta Lewis have "Chemistry" on screen.”
JC attended the Cannes film festival in 2009 to help promote three films that he was starring in showing there. Including the multi award winning ‘45’,and ‘Left Holding Baby’ and the political thriller ‘31 North 62 East’ which also stars John Rhys-Davies and Mariner Sirtis. This eagerly awaited S.A.S feature is theatrically released on September 18 2009 in the UK.
JC then relocated to Hollywood as this was the optimum time to take the next step in his career and continues advanced scene study with Ivana Chubbuck and Weist Baron Hill.
He most recently played the lead in the Hollywood hit-man comedy ‘Hit The Big Time’ which also filmed in Las Vegas, London and Utah and the British gangster feature ‘Butterflies and Bullets’ filmed in London both currently in post production.
JC has just secured leading roles in two Hollywood features including the comedy ‘Ghost Quest’ and psychological thriller ‘Retro Repo’ as well as leading roles in the hilarious British comedy ‘Lunchbox’ and ‘Blood Sweat and too Many Tears’ which is an edgy, original, contemporary psychological thriller both scheduled to shoot in 2010.
